Mitch Weiman has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry. For the past 3 years he has been a Sr. Portfolio Manager for Sumner Financial Advisors. Mitch manages balanced, equity and fixed income accounts with expertise in fixed income. He takes particular pride in doing thorough fundamental research and finding under the radar income opportunities. Prior to Sumner, he spent the past 25 years honing his skills as a high yield bond trader, salesman and analyst, his clients were some of the country’s largest High Yield and Distressed Bond Investors. From 1990-2007. He held various positions at Friedman Billings Ramsey and Co culminating as head of Fixed Income Trading. From 2008-2011 he was a VP of High Yield Sales at Miller Tabak Roberts Securities. Most recently, from 2011-2013, he was a Managing Director of High Yield Bond Sales at Global Hunter Securities. Mr. Weiman wrote a chapter in the book titled High Yield Bonds; by Theodore M Barnhill, JR. The chapter is titled Strategic Choices for Emerging Firms: Debt vs Equity. Mitch Graduated with a BS in Finance from Babson College.
Jack Lauroesch is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with over 38 years of financial experience. Jack manages equity, balanced, and fixed income accounts for individual investors, families and foundations. With an emphasis on fundamental analysis we try to generate consistent positive returns within the parameters of each individual client. Utilizing a total return approach, a meaningful portion of the return is generated from dividend and interest income, and the remainder is derived from asset appreciation. In some instances, additional income is generated by employing conservative option strategies. From 1996 to present, Jack owned and operated Sumner Financial, where he provided personal portfolio management services. Prior to founding his own firm, he served as Vice- President and Senior Portfolio manager at Nye, Parnell, and Emerson. Jack earned his degree from Union College.
Felix Rovelli was born in Milan, Italy. He is a graduate of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and earned his MBA at U.C.L.A. Anderson. After working in Switzerland in Private Banking, he joined BIL Trainer Wortham in New York. Later he was a portfolio manager at Vontobel Asset Management and Neuberger Berman, where he managed International and Emerging Market Equities. In recent years, as managing director of Riverside Capital Management, he has been a successful long term investor in both public and private equities.
Josefina Velez-Tirado, of Ecuadorean descent, joined the highly successful Neuberger Berman Large Cap Value Fund investment team (formerly known as Partners Fund), as junior analyst in 1992. In 1997 she began following emerging markets equities, with a special focus on Latin America for the Neuberger Berman International Fund. Since 2000, she covers domestic and international equities for Riverside Capital Management. Josefina holds a bachelor’s degree and MBA in finance from Nyack College.
